Yeah, we’re ready…mostly

Normally I hate posting chats, but we covered so much ground in this one, it seemed a waste to just let it go. So I prettied it up with links where appropriate, stripped out the “brb”s and present to you now. Also, check out the Austinist list of parties and day shows - it’s one hell of a list!

Uggh. All Tiny Creatures’ bio is ridiculous. “they do it LOUD”… total cheese.

Hi guys. Thomas Wincek from All Tiny Creatures here. So I have this google alerts thing set for the band name, and since we are new and relatively unknown, we don’t get a large number of write-ups… Anyway, I read your blog entry, even though it’s not technically a “write-up”, as I was curious. Sorry you thought the bio was bad, (and in one case “ridiculous”) I’m no writer, and I guess it shows. I didn’t think I was being pretentious though, oh well. Any suggestions?

Also, thanks for mentioning Octopus Project. I’ve never heard of them, and I’ll check them out. Although I’m unsure why “we might as well be (them)”. Oh well again… Anyway, I’d like to invite you to check out our music, I’m pretty proud of it, and get the feeling you may actually like it…

    Best,

    —Tom

To Tom (I have a feeling you won’t see this, but I’m posting it anyway),

Did you change your bio on the SXSW site? The cheesy lines that I remember are gone. If you haven’t changed it, than I apologize for my comment. I must have been looking at another band’s bio. If you did modify the bio, then I think this new one is a vast improvement.

As far as the Octopus Project comment, Gus said that because the song you submitted sounds EXACTLY like them (minus the theremin). Which isn’t a bad thing. They’ve sold quite a few records.

I hope you have fun at SXSW, and maybe I’ll see you there.

  1. 1 All Tiny Creatures at this is not a music blog
